Jason Shih-Chang Chou is the General Manager of HDRE and has been instrumental in its success since 2012, when he and HDRE’s Chair, Edward Hsieh began their exploration of the renewable energy industry in Japan. Building on this experience, they established HD Renewable Energy in 2016, and in Q1 of 2023, the company became Taiwan’s first energy company to list on the TWSE Innovation Board.
In 2024, HDRE expanded beyond Taiwan, launching its proprietary brand and transferring to the TWSE General Board. HDRE is a pioneer of Taiwan’s energy transition, leading with its vision of green energy for every home, carbon neutrality for every household.
Jason’s educational background in sports science shapes his leadership philosophy, emphasizing resilience and belief in overcoming challenges. Jason maintains a daily habit of walking 10 kilometres, keeping him fit and energized to lead his team.
Through Jason’s leadership, HDRE has established a comprehensive green energy ecosystem that encompasses power generation, energy storage and electricity retailing. Under his leadership, HDRE has grown into a leading smart energy brand in Taiwan.
